Allison New York is the manifestation of my dream business — an accidental love story, as all fated things tend to be. Always driven by curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, when I couldn’t find my closest friends bridesmaid dresses for “the big day,” I was inspired to envision what it would look like to make them myself. One blink, and I was hooked — from curating fabrics to collaborating with pattern makers. The process of creating clothes that embodied the whimsical, free-spirited visions in my mind became an irresistible force that I could not ignore.

As the universe would have it, my marriage didn’t stand the test of time, but the passion for designing a collection emerged as the true silver lining. I immersed myself fully into the design world, doing whatever it took — from selling my engagement ring to renting out my apartment and crashing on couches — to turn this dream into reality.
